OUCH! Trump Breaks Record On Gas Prices — And Even Fox News Is Calling BS On His Lies
Can't Hide In A Food Cart From This
The news just keeps getting worse for Donald Trump as GasBuddy reports that he’s broken the record for the highest gas prices ever in August, and even Fox News is calling BS on his spin about the Strait of Hormuz.
As unpleasant as it was being forced into a food container by Iran — Maggie Haberman noted this week that it could not have smelled very pleasant in there — it’s nothing compared to the box he’s in with oil and gas prices.
On Wednesday, GasBuddy’s Patrick De Haan broke the unfortunate news that Trump’s war has reached a historic milestone:
BREAKING: the national average is now at its highest ever level this late in the calendar year, according to GasBuddy data. Meaning the national average has never been above $4/gal after Aug. 12 in any previous year- ever.
Ever.
That sounds pretty bad.
De Haan didn’t stop there. Some more nuggets from his Twitter feed:
Looks like gas prices just jumped to $4.39/gal in Michigan and to $4.29/gal in Ohio.
BREAKING: The national average price of gasoline has risen back above $4/gal for the third time in the same calendar year, a new record.
Going back to 2008, the cheapest national average price of gasoline on this calendar day- Aug. 13- was $2.13/gal in 2016 and the most expensive is today, at $4.06/gal
Meanwhile, Trump has been going around claiming that “We totally control the Strait of Hormuz.”
