As we covered earlier, Transportation Secretary and reliable Trump suck-up Sean Duffy has gone viral over a resurfaced clip that’s just ridiculously weird and creepy, but it’s just one small part of a much longer, much weirder, much creepier segment on movie and television star Sydney Sweeney’s physical attributes.
Sweeney became a reluctant MAGA icon last year when her American Eagle jeans campaign became the subject of a manufactured controversy. Conservatives, including Donald Trump and JD Vance, rushed to defend Sweeney from overzealous hot takes linking the “jeans/genes” pun in the ad to eugenics and even Nazis.

For her part, Sweeney has made a deliberate effort to sidestep the politics. In an interview with GQ, she called the attention from Trump and Vance “surreal” but conspicuously avoided being drawn into a debate on the ad or its baggage.
Duffy and his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, became controversy magnets during Trump’s second term when they took their family on a made-for-television road trip while the rest of the country suffered under Trump’s economic failures.
But in 2024, they were co-hosts of a Fox Nation show called From the Kitchen Table: The Duffys, and that’s where this viral clip came from.
More specifically, it came from an episode entitled “Can Sydney Sweeney Save America From Going Woke?”
