Tara Palmeri stunned Jim Acosta by telling him what Donald Trump calls Natalie Harp, whose nickname in the media and among aides as the “Human Printer.”
Harp has been in the news since Sen. Jon Ossoff dropped a triggering aside into a campaign speech, and Trumpworld completely melted down over it. The issue has cast a shadow over everything Trump and his White House have tried to do for a week and a half now.
While Maggie Haberman has reported extensively on the “Human Printer” — and dubbed the embattled aide Trump’s “Human Binky” — Trump has another name for Harp.
On Monday’s show, Palmeri talked with Jim Acosta about the nickname — relayed to her by Marc Caputo of Axios — and Harp’s strange role in Trump’s life.
TARA PALMERI: So she’s like the emotional support animal staffer, et cetera, but Trump actually has a nickname for her and it’s not the human printer. It’s “My Conveyor Belt.” Okay--
JIM ACOSTA: “My conveyor belt.” That’s so weird!
TARA PALMERI: It’s weird. And apparently, according to Marc, it’s because she gives him everything he needs. What does that mean?
JIM ACOSTA: Ew!
TARA PALMERI: I know, very weird. So he has his own nickname for her. Obviously, this relationship is that bizarre that no one can witness it without coming up with some bizarre quip about her and what exists as a human being, which is kind of sad.
And it just seems like everything inside of the White House is just weird right now. I mean, he was telling me, well, we see that Americans are suffering, right? Because it’s so expensive. Inflation is up. There’s cost of gas is insane. We’ve got a war in Iran.
And there’s just a feeling like-- that we’re unsure of what’s going on in the country. I mean his poll numbers are sliding. It’s it’s he’s in the thirties right now.
JIM ACOSTA: Brutal.
TARA PALMERI: Brutal. And he just brings a bunch of reporters. Out onto the White House lawn like completely unprompted to show them the grass, to show them his new grass.
JIM ACOSTA: It’s so strange.
TARA PALMERI: It’s very weird. And then he shows the ballroom. He shows them all the things he’s working on. So he’s clearly just thinking about his legacy. And he’s, you know, real estate developer, what can he leave behind? And it just shows you how checked out he is.

We know his relationship with her is weird but then everything he does is weird. So I don’t think we should spend too much time on her. But the lack of security clearance troubles me quite a lot.
