Welcome to the Jim Acosta Morning Memo on a Monday morning after a chaotic weekend of Trump rants and rallies, and some bombshell desperation moves on the world stage.

Pumping Schemes: Trump went into the weekend announcing a widely reviled deal for Russian diesel in violation of sanctions. President Zelenskyy blasted the deal as a quote “gift” to Putin and a show of quote “weakness.”

Trump talked up the deal as he spoke to reporters on his way to a rally in Syracuse, but shut down when a reporter told him that Zelenskyy called him quote “weak.”

The Death Show: Trump, accompanied by Mike Tyson, was also asked about his planned live televised execution of the Fort Hood shooter, and seemed to back off a little, saying that an unnamed “they” will be quote “making a determination.”

Un-Bear-able: And in a quintessential Trump moment, he found out from a reporter that NFL legend Mike Ditka had did, and immediately made it all about himself. Take a look.

He was a great guy. He was with me all the way.

Just the way absolutely no one wants to be remembered.

Captain Oblivious: Trump was also asked about the insane Kimberly Guilfoyle American Express story, and gave a befuddled response that included blurting out the quote “She’s an ambassador.”

Hecklers For The Win: Then it was off to Syracuse, New York, where he was again greeted by massive protests and had his speech repeatedly interrupted by hecklers. This one even gave Trump an appropriate salute.
