Welcome to the Jim Acosta Morning Memo on a Monday morning after an insane mid-August weekend that saw Donald Trump hiding out in New Jersey and sharing his bizarre Colonial kink. Grab your coffee and let’s JAMM!

By George I Think He’s Got It — ‘It’ Being Dementia?: Will it even make the news that Trump posted a clip of himself touring his ballroom with George Washington?

Top Trigger: There was a lot of triggering going on this weekend, but Sen. Jon Ossoff leads the pack with this jab about Trump’s constant companion and “Human Printer” Natalie Harp.

While the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings. He golfs and trades stocks. So he doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.

We’ll have more on Harp later, but speaking of triggering Trump…

Shot/Chaser Files: Abdul El-Sayed twisted the knife by cracking wise with Jack Cocchiarella about Trump’s alleged odor-causing “release” issues.

Chaser: Aaron Rupar noted the presence of a suspiciously wide load in Trump’s pants in an unscripted social media video from Trump’s speech.

While these jokes may purely be intended as a means to trigger Trump, there’s no reason that people who experience incontinence should be shamed in the process. Seriously ill people shouldn’t be catching strays.

Triggering Trump Fox News-Style: Trump also went on a lengthy and insane rant that appears to have been triggered by this 19-second-long tease for Shannon Bream’s Todd Blanche interview.
