Welcome to the Jim Acosta Morning Memo on a Thursday morning after Trump responded to his midterm ass-whooping with a display that was more tone-deaf than a Kid Rock a Capella album. Sorry for that image.

Grab some coffee or tea and let’s get to it!

Sickly Ballroom: Leading off, there were no public events on Trump’s schedule yesterday, but after taking a historic beating in an election that was all about cost of living and corruption, Trump had just the antidote.

He threw together a ceremony to sign the last beam to be installed in his half-a-BILLION-dollar-plus ballroom, and spent 45 minutes rambling about all of his money-gobbling vanity projects.

Rich Corinthian Leatherface: He started out by bragging about the columns, while you can’t afford a cheeseburger.

No doubt coming in from the Two Corinthians Column Depot.

Hair Apparent: Trump rambled and rambled, but his ridiculous comb-over refused to cooperate.

There’s a not-too-subtle metaphor in Trump’s total obliviousness there.

Glass-Hole: And as Trump gushed about the security features, he was inordinately amazed at the existence of bulletproof glass that you can actually see through!

It’s all about the video clips these days that’s why we use Snapstream.

MAAP Check: Let’s do a quick MAAP check for the state of play as Trump fiddles with his ballroom. The Senate races in Alaska and Mississippi remain razor-thin, with margins in the ballpark of hundreds of raw votes. Democrats lead both of those races, but it may be days or even weeks before we know the results.

In the House, Democrats have already taken 240 seats, and the final count could be as high as 255 or more.

Go check out the full MAAP for yourselves and try out the interactive function.
