Does the perpetrator deserve the death penalty for his crime? In my opinion, yes. Should it be streamed like some third-world country? Absolutely not! Nothing about his enthusiasm to live stream a military execution by a firing squad is acceptable in a civilized society. Hegseth is a psychologically ill, emotionally devoid and an abject failed man. He is another example of Trump’s choice in selecting a violent and vengeful member to his corrupt and criminal administration.
Our country is a barbaric government led by a Grifter in Chief, Convicted Felon, Sexual Abuser, Malignant Narcissistic Sociopathic President of the United States. The absolute rot of Hegseth’s, tRump’s and all of his cabinet’s ideas of what constitutes a “strong” man are sickening. Whether it’s subjugation of women and minorities, testosterone levels (perhaps Hegseth should be evaluated for this himself), the war mentality and cruelty towards others, and the joy of killing and prosecuting perceived enemies, it’s no wonder the violence is pervasive in this country. A live streamed execution is an example of the degradation of our values. We desperately need to change the narrative in the US to be kinder to each other and more empathetic to those vulnerable, here and around the world. This country is by no means perfect nor has it ever been so. But the rhetoric and actions of people since tRump came down that golden escalator in 2015 has taken a dramatic downward trend. We are now reviled by other countries even the ones who trump says are our friends (Russia, No Korea and China - how is that even possible??) The world order has been turned upside down by this vile man who sits in the Oval Office. I thought we were on the right track to preserving our society when Biden was elected. We certainly screwed that up and now we are seeing the consequences. We have one chance to begin to repair this debacle and that is by voting in the midterm elections. We must overwhelmingly defeat this administration and the republicans who have enabled this corrupt regime, nationally, state wide and locally. Don’t sit back! Get out there and VOTE. It’s our only chance to correct the mistakes of the past decade. There is no longer any way to sit this one out and expect a better outcome. Vote and make it unanimously BLUE!
My disgust with this whole sordid affair, led me to think (for a moment) that Hegseth would go after Paul Martin for speaking out. I could easily see Hegseth saying Martin did not fit his vision of whatever an Army soldier is supposed to be. What, call Martin overweight, threaten to take away his Purple Heart, call him a non-Patriot? As a retired Marine, I sadly realized I would probably never have had such a disturbing thought had we not placed such a total moron in the position of SecDef.

This administration just keeps lowering the standards of America and I agree with Martin that we will be seen as a third world country.
